David Pearce is a Principal Mining Engineer with 35 years of experience in open pit mining operations.

He spent 11 years working on world class mining operations, both coal and hard rock, before joining SRK.

With SRK David has led technical studies; due diligence reviews for acquisitions, stock exchange listings and project finance and project optimization studies.  His broad knowledge of a wide range of commodities and working environments enables him to identify key issues quickly and efficiently, as well as to assemble teams with experts from around the world to provide specific advice.

David is also a leader or SRK’s initiative to help clients develop effective strategies for reducing carbon emissions. He draws on his experience designing Trolly Assist and IPCC solutions, operational efficiency and methane capture to help clients identify potential solutions and the likely impact on emissions and project economics.
