Sue is a Chartered Geologist and a Principal Engineering Geologist at Arup with 20 years of ground engineering experience working on a varied range of projects, both within the UK and overseas. Sue has been involved leading and coordinating teams delivering geological and geotechnical data understanding and interpretation to both external clients and internal design teams.
She has interpreted ground conditions and ground risks on projects globally and has worked for many years cross-discipline with colleagues in the water, rail, resources and tunnels teams to name a few. Her experience spans ground modelling, site investigation, risk assessments, slope design, dam engineering, offshore cable burial, legacy mining, tunnelling, and underground infrastructure. She advises on ground risk, typically where the solution is not clearly mapped out. Sue is a strong integrator and is regularly client and contractor facing, coordinating and working with different teams for a common goal.
