Shortly after the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act was enacted, Dom was one of those normal primary school kids who took sockets off walls, resprayed bikes in his bedroom, and set fire to his brother’s rug with his chemistry set. With that early grounding in safety, he became an engineer.

Since he got into mining safety in 2008, he has worked with some remarkable people and projects. Dom has built a life in engineering safety that also happens to be his career. His work spans mining, roller coasters, sandwiches, nuclear reactors, high‑security and fire systems for government, Guinness, and weapons, resulting in three patents. Occasionally, you’ll find him in court giving evidence when things go wrong.

Today, he invests in exceptional people across three engineering safety businesses, where he is very much led by them.
