Robin advises a range of Resources & Education clients at Cardew Group including Severn Trent plc, Bacall & Mubadala Capital.

After 14 years in Parliament, Robin returned to financial communications in 2024. He spent six years as a Minister and two as Chair of the Education Select Committee. He also served on the BIS Select Committee, Welsh Affairs and Northern Ireland Affairs Committees and as a Minister in the Department for Exiting the European Union, Northern Ireland Office and as Minister for Schools at the Department for Education.

Prior to this he was a Partner of Finsbury Group where he specialised in industrials clients and helped to build the Mining & Metals practice, advising a range of FTSE 100 clients. Robin’s M&A experience includes the takeover defences of Kidde, Novar, Pilkington, Pennon, Arcelor and Rio Tinto. He worked on IPOs including Ferrexpo, Hochschild Mining, African Barrick Gold and Kazakhmys.
