Kevin Sabin

Kevin’s career began in 1975 as an apprentice electrician at Elsecar colliery in South Yorkshire, becoming mine electrical engineer at several underground coal mines.

He then became Head of Major Projects for UK Coal before forming a mining contracting organisation as General Manager of Centechnology UK Ltd, wholly owned by UK Coal.
Kevin took up the role as Head of Mining for Hargreaves Industrial Services and set up a company in India providing mining contracting and consultancy, having worked across a number of other countries in underground mining.

In 2020 Kevin moved to his current role as Managing Director of Brownlee Cale Ltd providing competent mining people solutions, currently working with Redpath Deilmann UK Ltd at Woodsmith Mine helping to deliver competence, training and assessment solutions.

Kevin is a Past President of the Midlands Institute of Mining Engineers, Immediate Past President of ABMEC and sits on the Mining Qualifications Committee and the Mines Engineering Liaison Committee collaborating with all industry stakeholders
