Adam Matthews is the Chief Geologist for Cornish Lithium plc’s (CLP’s) Li-Enriched Geothermal Waters (LiGW) project. An integral member of the team since 2017, he has played a pivotal role in every stage of the company’s geothermal initiatives – from data collation and geological modelling to site selection, permitting, drilling, and well testing across all eight deep exploration core wells (up to 2,000m).

Adam now leads the geothermal geology team overseeing site selection, drilling, well testing and data processing activities. Currently, he is focused on the drilling programme and procurement for CLP’s geothermal lithium demonstration facility, a key step toward commercialising sustainable lithium extraction in the UK.
